Sixty pupils & staff from Rushmere Hall School who visited on 10 October.

 

Visitors from the 95th Bomb Group Museum, Horham, including two veterans.

On 18 June, the Museum hosted a visit from the ATC & members of staff at Framlingham College. The Museum was presented with a plaque of the College coat of arms by Lt Colonel Martin Myers-Allen and it was received on behalf of the Museum by Peter Kindred.

 

On 14 June, Pat Janaway whose father Thomas J Byrnes was stationed at Parham, visited the museum with members of her father's family from Chicago USA, and her children & grandchildren.

 

Two ex-members of the British Resistance Organisation met up at the BRO Museum this month. On the left is John Waricker the BRO Historian who is seen talking to John Thurgood about his time in the BRO. John Thurgood was brought to the Museum by his daughter Anne and son-in-law Graham on the occasion of his 92nd birthday, his third visit since attaining the age of 90.

 

On 13 April, Ian Robery accompanied by his wife and parents, visited the museum to present documents kindly donated by the Drinkwalter family relating to Lt Col Drinkwalter, who was a pilot in the 569th Squadron at Parham.

 

On 12 April, Howard Gibbons & 17 members of the Suffolk Branch of the Rolls Royce Appreciation Club visited the museum.

On 9 April, Charlotte James from the USA and her two friends visited the museum. Charlotte's father Bill McVicar, now a sprightly 90 year old, was a pilot with the 390th.

 



Gareth & Tina Williams & their friends Tony & Elaine Bevan visited the Museum on 22 March.

 

On 30 March the Museum hosted a visit from 30 members of the WEA (Workers Education Association). They were welcomed by Peter Kindred, and Tim Brett presented a short history of the 390th Bomb Group & Parham Airfield.
