We would love to share with you a fascinating story of how a WW2 enthusiast from America visited a remarkable number of USAAF airbases, including Parham, this summer.
On Sunday volunteers from the Museum and their families met at the Tower for Christmas nibbles and a social. Much fun was had by all, and John's 8th Airforce insignia Christmas cake was a real highlight. Thank you to Julie for organising the event.
We are pleased to attach the latest newsletter from the BRO.
Visiting in October was Captain Mike Broch USAF. Mike's Great Grandfather, Clayton Broch, who was a ball turret gunner, was killed in action flying from Parham with the 95th Bomb Group.
Our new website launches this week. We will be using the website alongside our Facebook page, to keep you informed of news and events from the Museum, and would love to receive your news for the website or feedback on the new site.
If you have been meaning to visit, now is the ideal time. The Museum is open for two more Sunday's before it closes for the winter season at the end of October, to open again April 2018.
The museum's library is now fully functional, with the successful transfer of all the books, documents, magazines and photo albums from the old library taking place last year. The new library has both heating and air conditioning and more shelves will be added this year to accommodate the ever increasing number of books and donated written material.
